James Steven Zerbonia, 47, of Peoria, passed away at 1:33 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at his home. His Funeral Liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Fr. Thomas E. Taylor officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mt. Hawley Cemetery in Peoria. Jim was born in Peoria on November 2, 1964, a son of Vincent R. and Barbara J. (Waldon) Zerbonia. His mother and stepmother, Janiece Zerbonia, preceded him in death. He married Aquilla “Lynn” Danger in Peoria on November 17, 2005. She survives. He is also survived by his father, Vincent R. Zerbonia of Peoria; children, Bethany and James Zerbonia of Peoria; stepchildren, Corey Walliker of Bloomington, Justin Friday of Chillicothe and Brittany Walliker and Karah Rexroat of Peoria; and siblings, Mike (Patty) Zerbonia, Vince (Lori) Zerbonia and Dan Zerbonia of Peoria, Kathy (Rex) Okerberg of Neenah, WI and Chris Zerbonia of Davenport, IA. Jim was a CNC Lathe Operator for G & D Integrated in Peoria and was formerly employed at Morton Welding and Tri C in Eureka. He was also the former owner of Sound Sensations DJ Service. As a child, he attended St. Cecelia Parish and White Grade School. He loved music, fireworks, bowling, fishing and four-wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to the FBO James Zerbonia Funeral Benefit at any CEFCU facility.
